The proteins in IDP® are the natural defense proteins isolated from fresh, pasteurized milk.
These proteins remain in exactly the same proportion and ratio as they are in nature.
Quantec Ltd has demonstrated that the synergy of the unrefined protein complex is far more potent than its isolates. IDP® can act in the same way for which nature has designed it.
IDP® has a unique powerful and synergistic Triple A Action (anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial) that provides two lines of defense.
- – The first lines of defense are its antioxidant and antimicrobial activity.
- – The second line of defense is its anti-inflammatory activities.
Many individuals have increased sensitivity to triggers of inflammation. IDP® works with the innate (acute phase) immune system within the body to help normalize the inflammatory response.
The immune defense proteins in IDP® have a powerful and synergistic defense function. The unique two fold action of IDP® effectively provides layers of immune protection by creating a first line and second line of defense.
The outer barrier or first line of defense is the antimicrobial activity, which protects the host against invasion of unwanted pathogens.
By defending the body against infective agents such as microbial pathogens, IDP® also reduces the inflammatory response normally associated with infection.
The Science of IDP®
Anti-Inflammatory
Ex-Vivo results have demonstrated that IDP® has significant anti-inflammatory effects when compared with known anti-inflammatory agents.
These effects are observed at concentrations within the range of typical dosages and, in some cases, at levels lower than the accepted agents. IDP® was independently tested by Trinity Bioactives (July 2009, Wellington, New Zealand) using an activated neutrophil inhibition study.
Anti-inflammatory properties were determined by measuring ability to inhibit the inflammatory markers, tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) which are produced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) activated neutrophils.
The efficacy was referenced against a control and the drug chloroquine, a known inhibitor of TNF-α and IL-6 production.IDP® was also compared against:
- curcumin, the reported anti-inflammatory component of the natural spice turmeric
- diclofenac, a powerful anti-inflammatory drug incorporated into an OTC and prescription products called Voltaren
- aspirin
Antioxidant
IDP® ranks within the top 10 dried antioxidant fruits, vegetables and spices as indicated by the USDA combined ORAC value.
IDP® has a novel way of using its antioxidant activity to suppress inflammation and also act as an antimicrobial. The antioxidant activity also helps protect from oxidative damage and suppress the subsequent inflammatory response.

Antimicrobial
IDP® is a potent inhibitor of a variety of harmful pathogens, along with its soothing anti-inflammatory and healing antioxidant effects.
The yeasts Candida and Malassezia are responsible for a number of chronic conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis that are unsightly and difficult to treat and are the result of an excessive inflammatory response to the infection.
The skin is a host to many organisms that are usually harmless.
Staphylococci and Streptococci may cause serious skin and wound infections if the skin barrier is broken.
Acne is caused by the growth of Propionibacterium acnes in hair follicles. The recruitment of white blood cells results in pus, and hence the pimples that are so distressing for acne sufferers.
A 50 mg per dose of IDP® provides an effective dose with at least a 10-fold margin over the MICs.
Applications for IDP
Due to its naturally-derived composition, IDP® is a safer and more effective alternative for many internal and external applications.
For example, it is effective for preventing and clearing skin conditions, such as eczema and acne, while being less drying and irritating, and is a safer alternative to harsher treatments
The potential internal applications of IDP® include (but are not limited to):
Oral Applications (Tooth Plaque, Gum Disorders, Breath Freshener and Mouthwash), Colds and Flu, Sore and Strep Throat, Digestive Upsets, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Infections (Parasitic, Bacterial, Viral and Fungal), Candida Yeast Infections and Thrush.
